PlayWithJSON
Zero-Data Principle

Privacy Policy

Effective Date & Last Updated: October 2026

Our Fundamental Privacy Guarantee

PlayWithJSON does not collect, inspect, store, or transmit your data. All JSON parsing, formatting, validation, JSON5 transformations, JSONPath queries, and CSV conversions execute 100% client-side inside your web browser. Your payloads, tokens, and database records never leave your local device.

1. 100% Client-Side Execution Architecture

When you paste or type code into any tool on PlayWithJSON (including JSON Formatter, JSON5 Studio, JSON ↔ JSON5, Text to JSON, JSONPath Tester, JSON Schema Generator, JSON to CSV, or JSON Diff):

  • The data is processed solely in browser memory (RAM) by the browser's JavaScript engine.
  • No HTTP requests containing your input code or payload are sent to our servers or any third-party backend.
  • Closing or refreshing your browser tab immediately frees the in-memory data.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike many web utilities, PlayWithJSON requires no account creation, no sign-in, and no payment information. We do not collect:

✕ No names or email addresses
✕ No passwords or account credentials
✕ No payload content or uploaded documents
✕ No credit cards or billing details

3. Browser LocalStorage & Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We only utilize your browser's standardlocalStoragefor user-convenience preferences:

  • • Theme Preference: Storing your preference between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
  • • Editor Layout: Storing panel split percentages so your view is preserved on reload.

4. Third-Party Hosting & Content Delivery

PlayWithJSON is statically built and distributed via global CDN edge networks. Like all web services, our hosting provider may log basic technical connection details (such as IP address, browser user agent, and timestamp) in standard server access logs for DDoS mitigation and infrastructure uptime security. These logs contain zero user data from your JSON editors.

5. Contact & Privacy Questions

If you have any questions or security inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy or our client-side architecture, please reach out via our GitHub repository or contact channels.
